I was in Value Village the other day, when I saw this Ferrania Lince 2, a nice little 35mm view camera made in 1961.

Since they only wanted $8.00 I just had to grab it.

I shot a roll of free film, just to see what it’s like, and I must say that I’m impressed.

Both these photos are both cropped, and re-sized, but that’s it.

I’d like to order in some low ISO B&W film, just for it soon.

Just a Duck

This duck was shot with Kodak Ektar film, one day while I was out relaxing.

Although Kodak Ektar film isn’t good for wildlife (it’s too slow) it still appears to be nice for an artistic effect.

Finally Something New

I’d like to say that I’m sorry for not posing anything lately. Life’s been busy, and I just didn’t have much creative juices flowing.

That all changed last night, after I made a mistake, and dropped the TV remote control onto a coke glass, breaking the glass. Although I was lucky, and it was empty at the time I got the idea of using it for my next art piece.

Here it is, I hope that you all like it.

It’s title is Remote Accident.

I have another idea, that I may be working on, during the next day or 2. I’ll post it ASAP.

Just a quick edit, the B&W version looks just as good.

More Film photographs

I developed some more film the other day. These shots were taken with Kodak Ektar 100 film.

This top photo will more than likely be added to my gallery, for sale soon.

This pink rose Will be added to my gallery for sale soon.

I’m looking forward to my next nice day off, and hoping that the fall colours are still out.

I have my first, and more than likely last roll of Kodak Kodachrome slide film to shoot off. Kodak recently stopped making this legendary film.

just Some Film Shots

I finally have some film shots, taken with 3 different types of film.

These first photographs are taken with Kodak Ektar 100 Negitive film.

A good friend of mine raves about this film, however he says he has bad results on Reds with it. I don’t seem to have the same problems.

This spider was also shot, using the same film, and the same lens.

Next comes Kodak Portra 160 NC film.

My friend, that has problems with Reds on the Ektar told me Portra isn’t that good for landscapes. However it seems to work fine with my style.

However it shines with flowers. I like the results with flowers as well.

I should mention, I’m not putting down my friends work. We both have different styles, and our equipment is completely different. So our results with different film is bound to be different.

Next comes Fuji Velvia 50, Slide film.

I must say, I found these results the most pleasing. However we can’t process slide film in the lab, where I work and the processing costs were just nuts.

Or to be honest, the processing fees weren’t all that bad, however the High Res scan’s price was just INSANE. The company, whom did the processing and scan will not be getting any more business from me.

I wanted that water coloured painted look, and this is more or less the results I was after.

This is also the look I was after, with these leaves.

As you may have figured out I am very happy with the results I’m getting, using film in general.

I will have the camera out again tomorrow, and hope to get some nice Autumn shots.

Back to shooting with Film

I almost feel like a kid again.

I’m back to shooting with film, which I haven’t really done in a LONG time. I’m still shooting my Sigma, when the photo is important. However I just needed something different in my life.

I haven’t had a chance to develop any of the photographs yet, however I should have something posted here some day soon.
